If this is a joke, it's pretty poorly executed. If it's not a joke, it's still pretty poorly executed.

Also, if this one is indeed for the ladies, and the camera is clearly being operated by someone, it makes me think that it's another guy recording him. So it gets at least 2 points for subtle homo-eroticism.
