Quiz #42,951
Taken from Travis' blog:
So that's why I hate existentialists. I apparently am one. But not entirely. I agree with some of their thoughts, but not their conclusions.
You scored as Romanticist. Romanticism encourages society to look backwards to find our solutions. Your rationale is that things were much better a few hundred years ago so we should thus look back to those times and replace them in our modern society. You believe in a simple life and that the complexities of the modern world have turned it upside down.

"Existentialism is a philosophical movement that views the individual, the self, the individual's experience, and the uniqueness therein as the basis for understanding the nature of human existence. The philosophy generally reflects a belief in freedom and accepts the consequences of individual actions, while acknowledging the responsibility attendant to the making of choices. Existentialists prefer subjectivity, and can view human beings as subjects in an indifferent and often ambiguous universe."
Come to think of it, I am an existentialist under the right terms. There are just some parts, maybe just offshoots, that I mistook to be represented by the whole. I'm frankly not surprised at Matt's findings. It's probably the part of us that makes us get along is the similiar outlook.
