Randomness and Business

I've been in a weird space since Drew left. It's only been a couple of days, but every time he leaves, I have to deal with the strange sensation of losing a part of myself. Being with him for whatever period of time we see each other when we visit, and then having to get used to not having him around again, always puts things in an interesting perspective. It always makes me gain a greater appreciation for the friendship I have, and though I probably voice it more often than most of us in the group, I still feel like I don't tell you guys often enough just how much you mean to me, and how lucky I feel to have a group of friends like you. You guys are the most supportive and loyal group of people I know, despite the shortcomings I know I can sometimes have as a friend, and I thank you guys for your friendship.

I've been on an emotional rollercoaster for the last few weeks. Nothing horrifyingly bad or melodramatic, but I've certainly been in and out of certain moods. Being with Drew was awesome beyond words, and after the first day together, it felt as though we had never been apart in the first place. The two weeks we spent together were a blast, but in between, there were some moments of insecurity, primarily dealing with Jennifer. I won't go into details, but I just found myself feeling kind of put off, and it bothered me that I hadn't seen her in two weeks, and she didn't seem all that eager to see me. Still, she's had her problems to deal with, so it's understandable. I also finished Catcher in the Rye during that time. Wow. That was definitely a great book and an awesome follow up to To Kill a Mockingbird, which I had just finished re-reading. It was an exceptionally written work, full of symbolism and emotion, and I found myself surprisingly able to relate to Holden on virtually all of his viewpoints. It's certainly one of the best books I've ever read, and while I think everyone at this site has read it, if you haven't, go out and buy it.

There have been other little things here and there, but I think what has been nagging at me more and more through all of these different emotional turns is my creative side. Aside from practicing bass, I've been pretty neglectful in the areas of drawing and writing. Since I've been dying to turn out work, but have been unfortunately lazy in doing so, I'd appreciate greatly if you guys could remind me to do some work at least every other day, involving writing or drawing. I already have a deal with Andrew concerning drawing, but I would like to get some some writing done especially.

I think that about covers it. Sorry if the entry was kind of random, but those were just some things I felt like writing. Dante: I'm sincerely sorry that I didn't get to your show, but it was hard to work it out with Drew in town.

I think that's about it. Lastly, I'll get back to updating the Happy Pill site once I'm all caught up on where we stand.
