Finally, A Mass Effect Character I Can Appreciate

I always did like a chick who might kill you in your sleep. I hope that's a plot twist in the new Mass Effect. I mean, sure this presentation is pretty hokey, but I can't wait to see how she reacts to my "nuke the entire planet twice" dialogue choices.

I have to agree with Kotaku readers this time; sure, she's over the top, but she's already way more interesting than any of the human characters were in the last game.

The Carth clone and the other Soldier class chick were dull as drywall. I kind of liked the girl, simply because she seemed believable to me, but compared to the aliens, most of the people were fairly boring.

Actually, I think the franchise in general could use some personality. I've become more and more a fan of environmental immersion and creativity, and almost ALL aspects of Mass Affect are sterile and uniform.

I mean, things don't have to be midgets in cantina's like Starwars (or goofball droids), but there's not a lot of grit or lively hood or culture anywhere. It's like a humorless, overly serious nerds dream- which would explain how hard our new female character is "breaking the mold" here.

I've been playing KOTOR 2 again and despite the poor graphics I still feel like I am where I'm supposed to be. Real, lived-in places (in most cases).

(Deleted and edited for terrible 3 in the morning spelling.)

I agree, but as I've said, I think Mass Effect was a franchise establisher. Look to this game to show the personality of the universe. If it doesn't, they have a major problem on their hands.
