Star Wars: The Old Republic

Looks like Bioware is making a game that actually follows through with the preestablished plot of the series. This actually works so well conceptually that I now wonder if this was ALWAYS the plan.

i agree, it was fucking amazing. i havent played any of the previous games, do you think i need to to play and understand this? if there are previous games i need to play to understand this one, which ones are they? not all hopefully.

KOTOR 1 and 2. They are both two of the best games I've ever played. DEFINITELY worth checking out.

Oh I also have the Tales of the Jedi comic series that was the timeline the games were based on. Comics weren't great but it clarifies a lot of backstory.

I think so if I still have it I may have lent it to Dalder and never gotten it back. You can buy it on Xbox Live and download it to your hard drive too.

Is this the MMO, or something else?

I know Bioware is really into their Bounty Hunter class, which is featured here with the female in amor, but I got the vibe this was something else.

It just said "Old Republic", I would think they would throw in an "MMO" somewhere as it's such a buzzword.
