H2O

I wrote this on whim. Tell me whatcha think.

And yeah, this is what happens when you take too much chemistry.

Water is a ternary molecule made of two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen. Having a bent molecular shape, its capacity to become an acid or base should not be overlooked. In fact, it's probably in your best interest not to doubt the power of water. Sure, on its own it proves to be quite the stable compound. After all, with a pH of seven, who could ever see such a substance be aggressive? But realize this: oxygen's overwhelming electronegativity with respect to hydrogen yields a molecular polarity like no other. In the face of reaction, water will not tolerate the selfishness of others. Water does not care if your lack of electrons results in something less than a full valence shell. In fact, water laughs at your meaningless struggle to become anything like the noble gases. Why try? The noble gases have the hardest time reacting with anything except themselves. That's incest. And it's sick.

Water goes with the flow in every sense of the word. In fact, it likes being a liquid most of the time, so don't try to seduce it with your useless temperature changes. The very fact that its liquid form is denser than any solid form should tell you right away that anything too cold is simply not natural for water. Don't even suggest such dangerous ambitions. Water is not interested in your "new" and "exciting" experiences. Too hot, too cold, too much of whatever does not interest water. And you best take heart to those words.

It simply isn't worth your time to try to use water for your selfish needs. Play with water and you'll get hurt; it's as simple as that. Water's bonds are strong, and can withstand any of your bullshit. It has dipole-dipole intermolecular forces my friend, strengthened further from hydrogen bonding. Do you really want to mess with that? Water doesn't care how acidic or basic your essence happens to be; rub it the wrong way, an it'll pull apart your hydrogen or hydroxide ions quicker than you can say acid-base dynamic equilibrium. And you can count on that my friend. After all that struggle, water WILL reach equilibrium with you, even if it completely kills itself in the process (but that's very unlikely).

But by know means is water perfect. Rarely will you come across pure water; after all, it's a chemical like everything else, and consequentially has its own impurities from time to time. Sometimes...sometimes in its quest to just FLOW it picks up some undesired ions. But hey, what do you except? The world plays by entropy's rules.

Water is everywhere. It's in the oceans, in the hills, in the sky, and, most importantly, inside you. So take heart to water's message. Learn from its strange yet simple ways. Sure, it doesn't taste like much, but it sure knows how to play the game, chem-wise and here. So read between the lines. And for God sakes, don't drink fucking Evian.
